Forbes: Mikhelson world’s 32nd richest businessman, leads in Russia

MOSCOW, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Eight Russians were on the Forbes’s top-100 list of billionaires in 2019 with Leonid Mikhelson leading on 32nd position with a wealth of U.S. $24 billion, the magazine reported on Tuesday.

Mikhelson’s wealth increased by $6 billion.

Vladimir Lisin rose to the 45th rank from 57th and increased his capital by $2.2 billion to $21.3 billion. Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov rose to the 47th position from 78th, with a $20.7 billion capital, which increased from $16.4 billion.

Eleven Russians left the rating, including co-owner of group Summa Ziyavudin Magomedov, who was arrested in 2018 and Viktor Vekselberg, the owner of the Renova group.

Four businessmen joined the list, including Safmar Board of Directors Member Said Gutseriyev.
